This year's summer retreat for the ZLYF Youth saw us visit San Clemente for some time with God and a chance to fellowship with each other away from the heat. A great time was had by all as we discussed making time for God in our daily lives. Thanks to Mrs. Sievers for organizing the event.

Z-LYF is a group for the youth of the congregation.  We have regularly scheduled meetings every other Sunday where we hang out, having lunch and devotions and playing games.  We also have special events that we get to participate in every once in awhile.  Events such as Knott's Berry farm's Praise Night every New Years' Eve, Youth Gatherings (with other Lughtean Youth Groups in the district), Lock-Ins, camping trips, Friday Night Game Nights and service projects to name a few.  Z-LYF welcomes any confirmed youth, anyone 14 years old or older or anyone in high school.  Check out the bulletin and the church newsletter for upcoming events, we hope you'll be able to join us!

 Christian Music Minimize

The Christian music scene has evolved a great deal since the early days of broadcast Christian music. Presently you can hear any genre of music from Hip-Hop to Heavy Metal to Easly Listening on our local Air- One affiliate at FM 89.5. You can also catch the music on the ever-expanding inventory of Christian/Gospel music on iTunes.

 

If you haven't experienced the Christian music scene give 'em a listen. You can't beat the experience of  great musical compostion combined with stirring lyrics praising Christ Jesus. Some of my favorites from the Rock/Alternative genre include: Disciple, FireFlight (if you enjoy Evanescence check them out) and RED. If you enjoy Hip-Hop check out LeCrae, Trip Lee, 116 Clique and Rush of Fools. 116 Clique just released a new EP album of Hip-Hop blended with rock aptly titled "Amped", give it a listen, I promise you won't be dissapointed.
