Johanna Allen

Hello! My name is Johanna Allen and I am the third and fourth grade teacher at Zion Lutheran School. I also teach Technology.

I wanted to be a teacher since a young age and I love growing and learning with my students every day.

I went to college at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Music concentration. I also obtained my Lutheran Teacher’s Diploma from Concordia. I currently hold a Nebraska state teaching certificate. I have been teaching third and fourth grade at Zion for 15 years.

I love teaching at Zion Lutheran School because I get to share the love of Jesus with my students every day. I also hope to share Jesus through the relationships that I build with my students and the families at the school. I believe that it is important to respect God, others, and ourselves and that is how I run my classroom daily. I want my classroom to be a safe place where students can learn, ask questions, and discover the purpose that God has for them. I hope to help my students excel academically, while keeping Christ at the center of my classroom.

In my free time, I love to watch movies, read, and do puzzles. I also love singing, listening to music, and playing different instruments. I grew up in Montana and I love going back to visit family and friends. I married my husband, Jeff, in 2013. We live in Apple Valley with our adorable 12 year old dog, Bruce Wayne.

My favorite Bible verse: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid (John 14:27).
