Pastor Busch has served Zion Lutheran Church since 2015. Before coming to Zion, he served Grace Lutheran Church in El Centro, California (1992-2002), and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Downey, California (2002-2015).
A California native, Pastor Busch grew up in the San Diego area. He attended Christ Lutheran School in La Mesa and was confirmed in Christ Lutheran Church in 1976.
He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1992, and also attended and graduated from Christ College/Concordia University Irvine in 1987 and California State University, Chico in 1985.
Pastor Busch met Edith at Christ College Irvine in 1986 and they were married at Grace Lutheran Church in Bishop, California in 1987. They have three children (Joshua, Lauren and Katie) and one grandson (Lenny).
Pastor Busch has stated that his service in and through God’s Church is the greatest privilege he could ever imagine, and his heartfelt desire is to be used by our gracious God to invite and welcome people into God’s Kingdom.
