School Outreach

Chapel

Every Wednesday we have a short chapel service in the city church sanctuary at 9:15 a.m. During the service we sing songs, hear the Word of God, and listen to Pastor’s message for the week. The elementary and early childhood departments attend this service together and it is a great opportunity to worship together.

The offerings collected during chapel every week are designated for a certain ministry each school year. The children are supporting Compassion International this year. They are collecting money in order to sponsor two children. This is a great way for the students to share their love with children all over the world. https://www.compassion.com/

Parents and congregation members are also invited to attend chapel weekly.

Every Wednesday we close with the following song:

My Friends

My friends, I will remember you,

Think of you, pray for you.

And when another day is through

I’ll still be friends with you.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. Gifts filled with hygiene items, small toys, clothing and other items are packed in shoe boxes and distributed to hurting children all over the world. Samaritan’s Purse places a booklet in each box in the language of the country to which the box is sent to introduce the children and their families to Jesus. We who have so many material blessings can share the love of Christ with those who have so little. For more information, go to

St. Jude’s Children Trike-a-thon

The Early Childhood and Elementary department participate in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Trike-a-thon each year. The school has raised over $10,000 over the years they’ve been riding.
